Nestled in the center of Owatonna on 20 beautiful acres, Pillsbury is a summer camp in Minnesota located near Minneapolis and Rochester. The Campus is less than an hour south of the Minneapolis Airport and 45 minutes west of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
Our campus in Owatonna, Minnesota is a safe, vibrant town of 25,000 residents and is an economically energetic community. People are friendly and down to earth. Owatonna is family oriented and a “true Americana” small town with many well-known, reputable and successful large national and international businesses. Minnesota public schools rate in the top five nationally, consistently. Owatonna ranks among the most livable small towns in the US. Its amenities rival those in cities multiple times its size.
The Pillsbury campus consists of 13 beautiful buildings. The campus has three dormitories, sleeping up to 900 campers with three students to a room. There are multiple common area lounges, workout rooms, rehearsal rooms and laundry facilities. Recreational facilities provide indoor sports and performance venues seating hundreds of parents and family during parents performance days. weekends.
Linked to the recreational facility is a regulation sized football/soccer field. The dining room has a modern kitchen and is equipped to feed large groups daily. Students are fed nutritious and delicious meals and have access to snacks throughout the day. Old Main is a beautiful historic building supporting administrative offices, conference rooms, music rooms and an auditorium with a balcony and seats 400 people.
All buildings are updated, and maintained to code. All facilities and grounds are impeccably cared for. This campus is supplied with 263 off-road parking spaces from three sides of the property for visitors’ weekend to accommodate parents. All facilities are connected by concrete sidewalks adding to the functionality and beautification of the campus.
It wouldn’t be summer camp without the outdoors. Camp Pillsbury’s historical and beautiful campus has plenty of room to play outside. With Lake side access, a circus arts area, soccer field and local tennis courts nearby there is always something going on . Campers also take part of daily special events and activities.
