Sports Summer Camp Program

Here at Camp Pillsbury the Sports Summer Camp Program includes a variety of team sports and individual sports. Our high level sports summer camp coaches always focus on teaching campers the basics first while keeping them engaged and having fun. Having fun and enjoying the sports summer camp program while simultaneously learning and improving skills is our main objective at our distinguished summer camp in Minnesota. Camp Pillsbury wants campers to enjoy practicing while appreciating the effort and work it takes leading up to competition and games.

Our Sports Summer Camp Program Helps Campers Advance in Sports

Our coaches understand that even some of the most advanced athletes may have holes or gaps in the fundamental techniques of a sport. Once the basics are covered, campers are grouped by skill level in every sport from beginner to advanced. Many campers improve tremendously over the course of the summer, and it is very common for a camper to start as a beginner or intermediate in one session, and move up to intermediate or advanced the next session. The coaches have each developed programs for their sports, setting measurable goals and working to build the campers’ confidence by teaching drills and skills that they will be able to bring home with them to continue to improve and advance in their sports at school or clubs.

Counselors Encourage Sportsmanship and Respect as Part of Our Sports Program

Sports Summer Camp - TennisCamp Pillsbury has a full size gymnasium with hardwood floor for Basketball, Gymnastics and Cheer, sports fields for Soccer, Baseball and Softball, along with a Volleyball court and nearby tennis courts.   Counselors encourage great sportsmanship and respect for the game. In addition, attention to technique and discipline with lots of practice and playing time is offered. Our fitness center with up-to-date equipment is available to our campers.

Our Golf Program utilizes one of the finest municipal golf courses in southern Minnesota. Campers will enhance their skills on this 6684 yard Championship course which is located just minutes from Camp Pillsbury in Owatonna.
