Campers Choose Their Own Schedule from Our Elective Activities

At Camp Pillsbury, the choices are all up to the campers. Our elective activities allows campers to select all their favorite activities and to also try new ones with in our established daily schedule. This gives campers the opportunity to develop existing skills and explore new interests. Every activity is open to all age groups and skill levels. We will work with each camper to meet their distinctive needs and respect their individuality.
No matter what your interests or skill level, Camp Pillsbury has something for every camper to enjoy. With so many elective activities to choose from, campers get to choose an individual summer camp experience based on how they want to spend their time.

Majors and Minors

Each day at Camp Pillsbury is comprised of six one hour periods; three Majors and three Minors. Majors are chosen at the start of each session, and are taken at the same time each day with the same staff and campers.
Majors are activities that are typically a rehearsal or practice to hone their skills, learn more about, get better at and perform in at the end of the session.
“Minors” are activities that are chosen every day. Each minor activity period will allow a camper to try something new regardless of age or skill level, or in some cases continue to work on another project. Minors are a great way to try something new and fun. Campers will always be welcome to an activity even if they have never done it before. Sometimes minors will supplement a major to give more time for rehearsal, practice, voice lessons or extra work with staff.
The best part is, you can choose a 3 minors every day of the session.
