Camp Pillsbury, owner, Vonda White was recently featured in Huffington Post Business Section on the struggles she has faced as a woman entrepreneur. The Huffington Post is a respected magazine with several sections including politics, entertainment, healthy living, world news, sports and business.  Since 2005, when it was founded by  Arianna Huffington, Kenneth Lerer, Andrew Breitbart, and Jonah Peretti, to feature columnists,   the blog has offered localized and international editions.  In 2012, The Huffington Post became the first commercially run United States digital media enterprise to win a Pulitzer Prize.

The article on Vonda White, written by Nancy Laws and titled “It’s Harder for Women to Get Business Loans (But It’s Not Stopping Them.)”  The article reviews why Vonda was so dedicated to opening her own summer camp and many of the obstacles she faced while attaining that dream.

The article goes on to illustrate some facts about women in business and some of the struggles they face.  Although they may face more challenges, that is not stopping more woman from trying and the number of woman-owned business continues to rise.

Nancy Laws sat down with Vonda White and asked her questions about her experiences as a woman entrepreneur.  Vonda explains why she thinks it is more challenging for woman and why having a clear vision and solid business plan are so important.  She also gives some advice to any female entrepreneurs that are trying to get started in a business.
